PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING TERMS OF SALE BEFORE PLACING AN ORDER ON THIS SITE

1. What are Terms of Sale?

These terms and conditions of sale (“Terms of Sale”) regulate your purchase of the products we promote and sell on this Site ("Products") and the shipping of such Products in the countries we deliver to. "Site" means the collectively the websites located at  www.shannondutyfree.com and www.shannonirishdesignstore.com. When you purchase on this Site, we ask you to confirm your acceptance of these Terms of Sale and, if you do, a contract is formed between you and us, subject to these Terms of Sale. It is important that you read these Terms of Sale carefully before placing an order for Products on this Site ("Order"). If you need further information please contact our Customer Service as indicated in our Contact Us page.

Access to the online purchase site on occasion may be restricted when new products are displayed and for site enhancement, maintenance, repair or for other reasons. In those circumstances, we will work hard to restore the service as soon as we reasonably can.

2. Who are we?

In these Terms of Sale “Shannon Duty Free”, "Shannon Design Store " “We”, “we”, and “us” means the seller of the Products, that is includes Shannon Airport Authority Limited and Shannon Castle Banquets and Heritage Limited both companies of which are part of the Shannon Group of companies (collectively “Shannon Group”). We can be contacted as indicated in our Contact Us page. “You” means you the Customer.

3. Are descriptions of Products and prices guaranteed?

We do our best to ensure that the information about the Products is accurate and up-to-date. However we do not guarantee that there will be no errors in the description and/or pricing of the Products, or that Products will always be available if you wish to place an Order to purchase them. Also, the colours you see on your screen may depend on your computer settings, so we cannot guarantee that your computer will accurately display the colours.

We reserve the right to modify the information about Products displayed on the Site, including prices, description and availability. However, such changes will not affect Orders for which you have already received an Order Receipt email (see below).

4. How do I make a purchase on this Site?

We describe here the steps necessary to make a purchase (in legal terms, to conclude a purchase contract) on our Site.

  • You place an Order

To complete a purchase, you first have to place an Order for Products. Then, this Order has to be accepted by us. To place an Order you must be 18 years of age or over. You will have to select the Products on the Site. Click ADD TO BASKET. You can select as many products as you want. Click on the BUY NOW button. We will not accept Orders placed in any way other than this.

  • We confirm receipt of the Order

When you place the order through the Site you will receive an automated email confirming receipt of your order ("Order Confirmation"). The Order Receipt email contains full details of your order (such as order Number, information on Products, prices, your shipping address and delivery cost). Please note the Order Receipt email is NOT an acceptance of your order.

Once you receive the Order Confirmation email, your Order has been finally accepted by us and the purchase contract between you and us is concluded in relation to the Products actually shipped. Such a contract is composed of: your order; our order; the then current Terms of Sale. No other terms and conditions shall apply.

The Order Confirmation email will contain link to the version of the Terms of Sale applicable at the time the purchase contract is concluded, for your reference.

Why might an order be refused

We do our best to always accept orders, but we may refuse an order in certain circumstances such as:

  1. You provide us with incomplete, incorrect or fraudulent information regarding your identity, age, payment details, billing information or shipping address;
  2. We discover that there was an error on our Site relating to the Products you ordered, for example the price or description displayed;
  3. The Products you ordered are out of stock or no longer available. (If this should occur we will contact you and discuss possible suitable alternatives);
  4. We establish that you intend to resell the Products.

If we cannot accept your order we will contact you by email as soon as possible but in any case no later than 7 days from the date of your order. If we cannot accept your order because the Products are no longer available, or because of an error in the price and/or other information on our Site, we will refund you any money you may have already been charged for the Products.

5. How can I pay for the Products?

You can pay by credit card, debit card or PayPal. We accept most payment cards such as Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Visa Electron and American Express. Payment may be made in other currencies but the transaction will only be processed in Euro.  If you pay by credit or debit card, you must supply your card details when you place your Order. Your credit or debit card will be debited for the total value of your Order at the time your Order is dispatched. We will not accept your Order, neither will we supply the Goods to you until your credit or debit card issuer has authorised the use of your card for payment of the Goods ordered. If we do not receive such authorisation we will notify you. We reserve the right to verify the identity of the credit or debit card holder by requesting appropriate documentation.
We take all reasonable care to make our Website secure and to prevent frauds. All credit and debit card transactions on this Website are processed by  PayPal and its group companies via a secure online gateway that will be responsible for holding and automated handling in a secure environment of the information relating to your payment details. Please note that we may, at any time and at our sole discretion, restrict shipping to certain countries we believe to be high fraud risks.If you are paying by PayPal you will be asked to log in to your account with your email address and password to confirm the payment.

Your Goods will be supplied after your payment is cleared. If we do not receive payment in cleared funds within 14 days after the date of your Order then your Order will be cancelled.
We will send the Goods to you at the delivery address indicated on your Order Confirmation. We may, however, only send documents by e-mail to the e-mail address provided at the time of making the Order.

6. When will be the Products delivered? Can I track my shipment?

Goods ordered through this website will be delivered to most countries. However we may not be able to deliver to all countries. Deliveries will be made normal business hours, Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays. Orders will be delivered within approximately 14 working days.We do not deliver goods to P.O. Boxes. We are unable to change the delivery address on orders.

It is our goal to deliver within the above mentioned times, however, delivery dates are not guaranteed as shipments are handled by third parties. Order cut-off times are provided as a guideline only and do not take into account possible delays caused by payment authorisation.

TAXES & DUTIES

Taxes and duties applicable in the EU are already included in the product cost. For delivery for countries outside the EU you may be liable for the payment additional taxes and duties. You are advised to ascertain before placing an Order whether you have an additional tax liability or charge in shipping the Product to your Country. We are not liable for the payment of taxes and duties that may be payable in your country.

7. I want to return a Product purchased here. What do I have to do?

We hope you are delighted with your purchase from Shannon Duty Free and Shannon Irish Design Store however we understand if you may wish to return any or all of the Products. You can return Products if you are not satisfied or if you change your mind within 21 days of receipt. Returns must be unused or unworn, in the state you received them and in the original packaging. The Return Procedure is set out below.

8. Who can I call if I have a question or problems with a purchase or a Product or if I want to make a complaint?

If you experienced problems or want to make a complaint regarding a Product or a purchase made on this Site, or if you simply need after-sale assistance, you can contact us as indicated in Contact Us .

9. What is the Company’s liability if something goes wrong with a purchase or a Product?

The website is available to all users “as is” without any representations or warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We makes no representations, warranties or undertakings about any of the materials on this website (including without limitation their accuracy, their completeness or their merchantability, quality or fitness for any particular purpose) or any content of or information on any other website referred to or accessed by hypertext link or otherwise through this website or from which this website is referred to or accessed by hypertext link or otherwise.

We shall not be liable for any direct, special, incidental, indirect or consequential damages including loss of profit or loss of opportunity that result from the use of, or the inability to use, the material on this website, the performance of the product purchased through the website, the conduct of other users of this website and/or facilities or services offered through this website even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

You agree to indemnify us and our agents and officers, directors and employees, immediately on demand, against all claims, liability, damages, costs and expenses, including legal fees, arising out of any breach of these Terms and Conditions by you.

We may terminate your use of the website immediately if we consider that you have breached these Terms of Sale.

Please also note that we cannot be held responsible for delays or failure to perform our obligations under these Terms of Sale if such delay or failure is caused by any circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including, for example, natural disasters, war or civil disturbances, strikes, government intervention, failures of our supplier(s), failure by you to give us a correct information or to effect due payments. We will inform you of any such unforeseen events as soon as possible after they occur and we will do our best to reduce their impact on our performance as reasonably possible. Should this interruption continue beyond a period of 2 weeks, you will be entitled to cancel the Order and get a refund.

Nothing in these Terms of Sale shall affect your statutory rights as a consumer, such as your right of withdrawal and nothing in these Terms of Sale shall exclude or limit any liability of the Company that cannot be excluded or limited pursuant to the applicable law.

10. Are my personal data collected and processed on this Site? Why? How?

By placing your Order, you agree that we may store, process and use your personal data for the purposes of processing your Order. We will process your information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

12. What is the applicable law?

These Terms of Sale are governed in all respects by the laws of Ireland. The Irish Courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction in connection with any disputes arising out of a purchase made on this Site or any Product.
