Hand Wash or Dry Clean only.
Give your garment the love and care it deserves, and it will love you back.
This is a general care guide - we recommend you read the care label on the inside of your garment before proceeding to wash it.
How to Wash Your Wool Garment
When washing your garment, it’s important to hand wash it, machine wash as it only if you have a Wool/Silk Wash option, otherwise you will cause shrinkage. Lukewarm water is most suitable as very hot or cold water may shrink your sweater. Only use a small amount of detergent, too much can be difficult to rinse from your garment which may leave it coarse. Try to wash one at a time to avoid any colour mixing. Top Tip: You should never wring or scrub your wool garment as this can cause pilling and stretching.
Drying Your Wool Garment
The most important guideline to follow when it comes to drying your wool garment is to never put it in a tumble dryer, as this will cause it to shrink. Dry your sweater flat across a clothes rail or on a towel. It’s important not to hang your garment to dry as this will stretch it. Top Tip: If your garment needs to be reshaped, do this while it's still damp.
Storing Your Aran Sweater
The best way to store your aran sweater is to fold it, hanging it will cause the shoulders to stretch and the weight will stretch the body length. If you are storing your sweaters for the summer, we recommend putting them in breathable bags to avoid any mildew.
Top Tip: If you are storing your wool garments for the summer, put a sachet of lavender in with them, this will keep any little bugs away!
